In this work, I depict one of Munich’s most famous architectural landmarks, the Victory Gate (Siegestor), through the prism of Ukrainian experience.
The painting belongs to my ‘golden series,’ where each work contains a hidden riddle or non-existent detail.
In reality, one of the angels is missing from the columns of the Victory Gate.
In my interpretation, this angel appears — and not just like that, but with a trident in his hands. It is a symbol of hope for victory for all Ukrainians, a sign of resilience and faith in the future. The angel with the trident becomes a bridge between two cultures, reminding us of the strength of spirit even far from home
